Army Staff Sergeant Nigel D. Kelly, 26, of Menifee, CA, was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 35th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, Schofield Barracks, HI. SSG Kelly died in the Kunar province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked his unit with small-arms fire.
