Getting New Stuff

Getting new things as opposed to hand-me-downs is always fun. Unless it all has to be carefully inventoried. And once inventoried, the hand-me-downs have to be inventoried so they can be mixed in with the new things. This has been a long month. My teammates are amazing as they have really gone above and beyond to get this done. I am humbled to be their team captain.

My team is labeling all of their equipment by set. Too much of it looks alike.

Even One Life Is Too Many

I really wish I was back in the snow. This month, as expected, has been ridiculously busy. There are lots of changes at work and as someone I respect told me, "there will be lots of chest thumping". And there has been.

 

Watching people try to make themselves important, often at the expense of someone else, is not any different than when we were in elementary, intermediate, or high school. It is simply ridiculous. It is demoralizing and demotivating.

 

I am thankful that I get to work with a great team that wants to do great things. They are dedicated to the mission and eager to accomplish the short-term and long-term goals.

 

But oh to be in the snow for just one more day...



Even one life is too many to lose.

While we should do this daily, I encourage you on the 22nd of every month to call and check your battle buddy. It takes just a moment. Military or not, we deserve to see each other tomorrow.

Quick Fix

My desk at work is not secured very well. I think it historically has to do with people moving it without taking the time to separate some key pieces leading to a few broken brackets. My quick fix? Just build a extra little stand. Working great so far!
