My Face Haunting NNF

While I was not able to physically be present for the Nature Nurtures Farm BBQ, I still found a way! Michelle and I patched up a tent a few months prior and I made a slight alteration of my own. As they set up for the BBQ they conveniently chose the tent with my face! I love my little hidden Mickeys!

Disneyland

My picture disappeared from the Matterhorn, so I put it back.
Close to the same spot, in case you are looking.
Another great day for a ride

Memorial Day

Spent my morning with members of my hometown community as we honored the memory of those who paid the ultimate sacrifice to protect their fellow Service Members and the foundation of this great Nation.

With the Langdale Ladies!

Spent my day with my cousin Lisa and her adorable girls Makayla and Makenzie. We made some rubber band jewelry, jumped on their trampoline, drove around with the top down, played in a local watering hole, and ate some delicious food!
It has been super fun to watch these girls grow up!
But now they need to slow down a bit. They are way too fun at this stage in life!
Thank you Langdale ladies for letting me hangout with you today!

Kristi's Open House

I have tried for 5 years to make it to one of Kristi's open houses (oh, she is a first grade teacher). When I first started this random goal, she was the only grade-school teacher I knew. Now, that I know a few more teachers there are a few more open houses and concerts to try to get to.

This year I am conveniently on PCS leave and was able to drive down for the night. It was fun to see all the creative work these kiddos can do. And especially fun to see how creative teachers can be.
Of course, Amy and I are always serious with our portraits.

BINGO

I have a new love a an old game! The Hub in Tacoma plays Bingo on Monday nights. Super fun! And I won a gift card! (Okay, Gillian's card won, but she had left for the night.)
And, Happy Anniversary John and Michelle!

Supporting Athletes

After the Olympia full- and half-marathon, we met some successful runners at, yup you guessed it, a bar.  I am aware of the military world and their drinking, but I was unaware of runners and their drinking. While there, I decided to hide my face.
And to continue my support of runners, we played BattleShots with Natalie (half-marathon runner). Again, there are no losers in this game!

Mustache BattleShots

When two minds think-alike, awesome shenanigans often follow. Michelle and I saw a game of BattleShots  With a touch of math, some hinges, chalkboard paint, and some scrap wood my new favorite drinking game was created!

I am going to strive for my stickers (okay, my face)
to be a new version of Disney's hidden Mickey.

 A fun afternoon of work.
 Let the inaugural game begin!!!
We played with 11 mini-Margaritas and 1 shot of tequila.
I won!!!
(My second guess was Michelle's shot!)
I love this game!
We played a second round against Michelle's husband John.
In this game, there are no losers!

The Farm

I love my days off from work!

It took six months of bribery before Fiona would relax and allow me to groom her. Time well spent!
 Feather took far less bribery.

I Met Lily!!!

And she is perfect!!!

Practicing the Ropes

I had a rather frustrating start to my morning at work so I chose to escape to the farm for a few hours to cool off. I got some more practice with the rope on a beautiful day.

And even better, I finally got my "good game" with the peacock!

Welcome Home CPT Ashley Werneken

Why was my Cinco de Mayo so much better than yours?

Because CPT Ashley Werneken came home with all ten fingers and ten toes! Probably the greatest last minute "hey, so, can you pick me up for the airport?" phone call ever!!!

While I am not crafty, I love making "welcome home" signs! Absolutely love it!

 I've been missing that smile!
Now let the parties begin!
