Too many nurses + few patients on the floor = someone gets placed on call
And today it was me. I showed up for work for an hour today and was sent home! Usually we get a phone call at about 0400 but since it was coming off the weekend, the night Charge Nurse did not feel comfortable placing someone on call on his own. Either way, I came home and slept a good chunk of my day away. It was awesome!
