There is something so wonderful and comforting about good friends. To be honest, I have a lot of acquaintances but very few true friends. Maybe it is the introvert side of me, but it is my reality. I am so thankful for the patience and persistence of my friends. They have gotten me through some really rough times of my life. The words "thank you" will never be enough.
Even one life is too many to lose.
While we should do this daily, I encourage you on the 22nd of every month to call and check your battle buddy. It takes just a moment. Military or not, we deserve to see each other tomorrow.
