Even One Life is Too Many

We are almost one full month into 2018. Beau and I have been on a few adventures already and have enjoyed them. Some adventures with friends and some adventures with just us. Many still to come.

Even one life is too many to lose.
While we should do this daily, I encourage you on the 22nd of every month to call and check your battle buddy. It takes just a moment. Military or not, we deserve to see each other tomorrow.

Hiking in the Desert

A beautiful sunny morning that Beau and I took advantage of. We gained about 1,000 feet in elevation. Once at the top, another hiker stopped by to hangout and told us about a whole bunch of other good hikes to go on. I am eager to check them out.

rainBeau wore his pack today with a water bottle on each side.
Hoping he can learn to carry a few water bottles so he can go on long hikes with me

Playing in the Snow

A quick weekend to Taos for some fun in the snow. Good food, good company, good conversation, good town to hangout in.
Beau did not have time to grow a winter coat, so he gets to wear doggie clothes this winter.

Riding chairs up and riding the snow back down. Piles of fun!

There was a cold creek to cross on our hike and I did not want my boy's feet to freeze. Yup, I am that dog owner.

Enjoying the snowy hike.

Poor Beau got to learn about "walking" on ice.

Work, Maybe

There is not much to do at work yet. Big things are coming, but until then I am doing a lot amount of studying and creating classes for my new LPN teammates. My new camping table from my sister and brother-in-law has already come in very handy as the office I along with other teammates will be moving in to is undergoing construction.

I picked up Beau from boarding during lunch today and did not have time to take him home. So he got to come to work with me for the afternoon. He was such a good boy.
